Company History


Total Satisfaction was established by Leon Smillie on November 6th 2001. With the vision of bringing forward the quality that Leon felt the reggae industry is lacking, he started up this music company. A New York based company which has produced artists like Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Frankie Paul, Tristan Palmer, Merciless, Lukie D, George Nooks, Red Fox, Major Mackerel, Harry Toddler, Jah Mason, David Ondrick, JD Smooth, Jah Hammed just to name a few.

With a solid background in the music industry, Leon has taken his career from being a student of music, stemming from the Ska era to being an entertainer formerly known as Lion Ranks, to now being a talented producer with the ear to hear and create great tracks. Not limiting the company to one sound he has worked with numerous musicians and has recorded in a variety of studios.

The first contribution to the music world was a compilation called Body Bag. A dancehall riddim that broke the company into the world as company that would go the extra mile to get its material heard. Several tracks were listed in different countries around the world on various charts. With this experience obtained from the venture the company decided to throw its hat in a different direction. Recording R& B tracks, hip hop, Gospel as well as Lovers Rock. In a review taken form Jamaica's X-News it states that the company is on the right track and big things are expected from the company. Singles from the Heartaches and Pain compilation have pushed the company into the big ring with top producers of the industry.

The success of his singles released on the label forced him to continue his production roles for the label. With the completion of Heartaches and Pain the demand for more original, quality tracks are to this day present. Even though based in New York the company keeps close to the root of it all, Jamaica. Travel to and from Jamaica is a part of the quest to seek out those with the drive and talent to help bring forward the riches of reggae music to the forefront.

As the company grows the sound will only improve and so far everyone is paying close attention to this young company. This company has an open door policy to the world and has vowed to continue lending its creative, artistic and technical expertise to clients true to their calling, worldwide.
